In a nutshell, there are 3 types of taxis from Singapore to JB you can choose from.
- Singapore (SG-MY) licensed taxi: Pick-up at Ban San Street Taxi Terminal or any location in Singapore, drop-off at Larkin Sentral bus terminal. For return trips, pick-up at Larkin Sentral bus terminal, drop-off at Ban San Street Taxi Terminal.
- Malaysia (MY-SG) licensed taxi: Same as Singapore licensed taxis.
- Private taxi (7-10 seater): Pick-up and drop-off location are decided by you.
How Much Is The Singapore To JB Taxi Fare?
In general, a private taxi will cost more than a public taxi.
For some people, the convenience and comfort you get from travelling in a private taxi will justify the difference in price.

Notes:
- A private taxi to JB will cost moreif you’re travelling during public holidays, especially during Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Christmas, etc.
- However, the price will remain the same regardless of pick-up time(e.g. peak hour, nights, or weekends).
- A private taxi does not incur any extra charges once you’ve made your booking.
2. Public Taxi Singapore To JB Fare
Public taxis are 4-seater vehicles, accommodating a max of 4 people per taxi. This is a good option for solo travellers or a group with 4 people or less.
However, one major downside is that a public taxi can only bring you as far as Larkin Sentral in JB.
So once you arrive at Larkin Sentral, you’ll have to make your own way to your next destination in JB—whether by local JB taxi, Grab car, or bus.

- If the cost of SGD 60 per taxi is too pricey for you, you can choose to “carpool” with other travellers and split the fare.
- But for “carpools”, the drop-off location in JB (Larkin Sentral) remains the same.

There are 2 ways to go to Ban San Street Taxi Terminal (shown as “Singapore–Johor Taxi Service nearby Queen Street Bus Terminal” on Google Maps).
