How To Go To Sutera Mall From Singapore
Sutera Mall has over 400 retail stores, and is a great alternative to JB’s other more prominent shopping centres.
But how do you go to Sutera Mall from Singapore?
There are a couple of ways, and we’ll be going through each transport option in detail. Filled with useful tips, this guide will help you plan for a smoother journey.
Ready? Let’s get to it!
1. Overview: Transport Singapore To Sutera Mall
Just a reminder, this guide will only focus on getting to Sutera Mall in JB from Singapore, not any other destination.
Now that you know what to expect, let’s get started.
There are 2 main transport options from Singapore to Sutera Mall: private car taxi and bus.
Only a private car taxi will take you directly from Singapore to Sutera Mall.
The bus, on the other hand, can only take you as far as JB CIQ Second Link before you have to transfer to another bus to get to Sutera Mall.
We’ll break it down in detail below.
2. Private Car Taxi From Singapore To Sutera Mall
Private car (SGMYTAXI) is always the best way to travel from Singapore to Sutera Mall in JB, allowing passengers to stay in the car without exiting for SG-MY immigration clearance.
Why Choose Private Car Taxi:
- Drivers will pick you up in Singapore and take you directly to Sutera Mall at your chosen time with a private MPV car.
- Book easily online or via WhatsApp
- We handle petrol, toll fares, passport clearance, and other immigration processes for you.
- Direct transfer service between Singapore and Sutera Mall.
- Best transport option for families with kids, elderly, or large groups.
- Over 2000 customer positive feedback received.
3. Bus From Singapore To Sutera Mall JB Via Tuas Second Link
Unfortunately, there are no direct public buses available from Singapore to Sutera Mall.
Inconvenient, right?
Travelling by bus also means that you would have to alight (twice!) at the Singapore-Malaysia border. Don’t forget you’ll be lugging around heavy luggage bags while queuing for your turn.
Furthermore, since there is no direct transfer, it means the bus will make many stops along the journey, adding to your travel time.
I would only recommend taking the bus if you are on a tight budget or travelling solo/in a pair.
Here’s a step-by-step guide for taking the bus:
Step 1: Take Bus From Singapore To JB CIQ Second Link
Take any of the buses below to get across the Singapore-Malaysia border and arrive at JB CIQ Second Link.
Bus Departure Location | Bus Operator |
Jurong Town Hall Bus Interchange | Causeway Link bus CW3, CW4, CW4S |
Boon Lay MRT | Causeway Link bus CW6 |
For more info on public buses from Singapore and JB CIQ Second Link, check out: Bus To JB Via Tuas.
Now, taking this bus has several disadvantages:
- As mentioned above, you have to alight for immigration clearance at the border.
- There is a waiting time of around 60-90 minutes for each bus from JB CIQ Second Link to Sutera Mall. This is a waste of time unless you plan your journey meticulously.
- Long queues, especially during weekends or public holidays.
- It’s always crowded. And since it gets quite hot during the day, it’ll risk putting you in a disgruntled, tired mood.
In the event you want to take the bus to JB via Woodlands, read Bus from Singapore to JB via Woodlands to learn about all the available buses and how to cross the border.
Notes:
- I would suggest going to Jurong Town Hall bus interchange. The buses are more frequent and there are more bus choices heading to JB CIQ Second Link.
- There are no direct buses from JB Sentral or City Square JB to Sutera Mall.
Step 2: Take Causeway Link Bus CW3S / CW4S From CIQ 2nd Link To Sutera Mall JB
Once you have cleared immigration at JB CIQ Second Link, get back on Bus CW4S if that is the bus you took from Jurong Town Hall bus interchange.
If you took another bus to get to JB CIQ Link, then you would need to wait for either Bus CW3S or Bus CW4S after clearing immigration.
Both buses have different final destinations, so take note!
For CW4S, the last stop is at Terminal Bus Sutera Mall. For CW3S, the last stop is at Taman Ungku Tun Aminah (TUTA) Bus Terminal. Remember to alight at Main Entrance Sutera Mall.
Once you’ve arrived at your stop, just walk to Sutera Mall via the sheltered walkway.
