1. Where To Submit The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
Submit your MDAC via the Immigration Department of Malaysia’s official website. It’s a simple declaration form that requires your personal information and travel details.
Proof of submission will then be sent to your registered email.
2. Who Needs To Submit A Malaysia Digital Arrival Card
Beginning 1 January 2024, all foreign citizens travelling to Malaysia are required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) EXCEPT:
- Citizens of Singapore;
- Diplomatic and Official Passport holders;
- Malaysian Permanent Residents and Long Term-Pass holders;
- General Certificate of Identity (GCI) Brunei Darussalam holders;
- Brunei Malaysia Frequent Traveller Facility holders;
- Thailand Border Pass holders; and
- Indonesia Cross-Border Travel Document (PLB) holders.

3. When To Submit The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card
You are required to submit this form within 3 days before your arrival in Malaysia.
For example, if you’re arriving in Malaysia on the 10th of October, you may submit your form on the 8th, 9th or 10th of October!
4. How To Submit The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card Before Entering Malaysia?
There are slight variations in the process for your initial visit and subsequent visits.
First Visit
- Complete and submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) on the official website within 3 days before travel.
- Proceed to the manual immigration counter on the day of arrival and present your passport to get the verification stamp.
- Upon departure, eligible visitors may now use the immigration E-gate.

Subsequent Visit
- Complete and submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within 3 days before travel. This step is required for every visit.
- For eligible visitors, you may now arrive and depart using the E-gate.
5. Things To Note
- Visitors who are eligible to use the Malaysian immigration E-gate are:
- MACS holder
- Long-term pass holder
- Travellers from Australia, Brunei, Germany, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United States and United Kingdom
- Singaporeans DO NOT need to fill in MDAC to use the E-gate.
