Therefore, it’d be wise to adjust your expectations accordingly.
Otherwise, a homestay is a perfectly good alternative if a hotel is out of the question. And there are 2 reasons why:
First, it is just a 3-5 minutes walk from Legoland Malaysia. And no, you won’t be walking under the blazing sun. There is shade provided (although not by Legoland management).
Second, you are on budget and you have 5-10 family members with you. It would be very costly to book up to 3 rooms at the Legoland Malaysia Hotel Themed Rooms just to accommodate everyone.
It’s easy to see why a homestay would be a great option if you don’t have your own transport and you’re watching your budget.

Head over to the Airbnb website and search for “Legoland” along with your desired date. From the selections given, just look for “Afiniti”.

This is actually located in the same building as Affiniti Residence. In fact, the check-in main door is directly in front of Affiniti Residence and Gleneagles Hospital.

I won’t call this a HOTEL since this is actually a residential apartment that has been converted into an “apartment residence hotel”.
But because the rooms are managed by a hotel, this can’t be officially classified as a homestay.

4. D’Pristine Medini (5 mins Walking Distance)
When you search for available homestays on Airbnb, you might come across many cheap homestays named “D’Pristine” that is just a 3-minute walk from Legoland with a lake view.
Guess what? This place exists…
However, the facilities and the building’s construction are just not complete yet.
And that lake view? It’s still an empty, undeveloped site.
Other Reasons Why Not To Choose D’Pristine:
- The car park is dark and is 10 levels above ground. The paths are also just too narrow. If your car is an MPV, it would get easily scratched going in.
- Another drawback of this homestay is that there is no proper walkway from D’Pristine to Medini Mall. To get to Medini Mall, you’d have to walk from the other side of the building.
- You might even say that the building looks largely “abandoned”. Which is far from the “holiday mood” you’d want for your family trip.
Despite all this, the rooms themselves are mostly fine to stay in. It’s just that you have to lower your expectations for its surrounding environment.
If you still want to stay at D’Pristine Medini Homestay, make sure you have considered all of its disadvantages carefully first.

In general, Elysia Park Residence is quite far from Legoland Theme Park. However, it is still walkable.
But there are two things you need to take into consideration: there is no shade, and you would have to walk by the roadside to reach Medini Mall.
You can make this homestay a backup plan. Personally, I wouldn’t choose this place if I had kids and other family members with me.
