Bus AA1 From JB Sentral To Senai Airport (Include From Singapore)
Figuring out how to get to Senai Airport from Singapore by bus?
Firstly, there is no direct bus from Singapore to Senai Airport.
You can take bus AA1 instead from JB Sentral to Senai Airport.
However, if you are traveling as a family with elderly and kids, the bus is not the best option.
It takes 1 hour to reach there so you will need to plan ahead to arrive on time.
Here’s what you need to know about the bus route to Senai Airport.
How To Go Senai Airport From Singapore By Bus
Step 1: Board Public Bus From Singapore To JB Sentral
Choose one of the many Singapore bus operators heading to JB Sentral. You can view the list of departure locations below:
Note:
- I recommend taking the SBS Bus 170 or Causeway Link bus CW1 at Kranji MRT station
For the most accurate bus schedule, I highly recommend referring to these links.

Few Things To Note:
- Bus fares can be paid using cash or EZ-Link card (except Causeway Link buses)
- If you are using cash, you will need to provide the exact fare amount as the drivers do not provide change
- if you are using the EZ-Link card, you must tap every time you enter or leave the SBS or SMRT bus regardless of your destination.
- Causeway Link buses accept cash and ManjaLink cards only.
Step 2: Immigration Clearance At Woodlands Checkpoint
You will need to get pass both the Singapore and Malaysia checkpoint before entering JB Sentral.
Upon arrival at Singapore Woodlands Checkpoint, leave the bus and head towards the immigration counter, bringing your passport with you.
Once you’ve cleared the Singapore immigration section, go down the escalator, walk to the bus stop and take the same bus to JB Sentral.
Step 3: Immigration Clearance At JB CIQ Checkpoint
When you’ve reached JB Sentral Checkpoint, alight the bus and you have two options for immigration clearance:
Option 1: via Manual Counter
Proceed to the counter to have your passport checked and stamped. All foreigners are required to complete MDAC before arriving in Malaysia except those listed here.
Note:
- Singaporeans travelling to Malaysia are exempted from filling up the Malaysian Digital Arrival Card (MDAC). For more info, refer to our MDAC Malaysia Guide.
Option 2: via eGate
Fill up the MDAC form each time before entering Malaysia when using the eGate. For more information, you can refer to our e-Gate to JB Guide.
Once you’ve cleared the Malaysia immigration section, walk straight towards JB Sentral where you will take an escalator to JB Sentral Bus Terminal.
You can proceed to take the Causeway Link Bus AA1 here to Senai Airport.
Note:
- The immigration queue takes about 1 to 2 hours as it is usually crowded
Step 4: Take AA1 Bus From JB Sentral To Senai Airport
From here, the bus journey will take between 45 minutes (if there is no traffic) to 1 hour from JB Sentral Bus Terminal to Senai Airport.

if you want convenience, especially if you are traveling in a group of more than 4 people, private car taxi is the way to go.
